ProChafe AS makes innovative chafing gear for rope applications used in offshore, fisheries and aquaculture. The company is based in Ålesund, on the west coast of Norway.
Synthetic ropes are strong, light and easy to handle — but where a line bears on a contact surface, abrasion wears it down. ProChafe's answer is a focused range of protection sleeves woven from high-performance fibres such as UHMWPE and aramid, custom fit to the rope diameter and manufactured in the length the job needs.
The range covers openable hook & loop sleeves that install and remove in the field, and tubular sleeves fitted before the rope is spliced. Every product is documented in a downloadable datasheet, and the team answers questions about products and solutions directly.
