CPRO Pure H&L

CPRO Pure H&L is a sleeve crafted from 100% UHMWPE — renowned for its abrasion resistance and impact strength among thermoplastics. It shields ropes from wear against rugged surfaces and sharp edges in demanding environments.

Its low coefficient of friction lets the rope adapt to varying loads, and specialised coatings can be applied to raise performance further. With a specific gravity of 0.98, the sleeve floats in seawater, stays impervious to moisture, and performs consistently in wet conditions.

Key benefits

  • Woven from 100% UHMWPE for high abrasion resistance and impact strength
  • Floats in seawater
  • Low coefficient of friction lets the rope adapt to varying loads
  • Easy to install and remove for replacement or rope inspection
  • Does not absorb water

Installation and fastening

The hook & loop closure — proven to excel in the maritime environment — enables fast application over the rope in the field and easy removal for rope inspection. Fastening bands can be supplied for all products.

Fastening options

ProChafe supplies standardised fastening-band configurations for positioning the sleeve and for connection and pulling — particularly useful for CPRO Mooring H&L and CPRO Mooring Tube.

  • Single fastening band for pulling
  • Fastening band with multiple eyes for connection and pulling
  • Two integrated fastening bands for connection and pulling
  • Three integrated fastening bands for connection and pulling
  • Integrated rope for permanently securing the jacket — tied off with seizing, whipping or knots

Typical applications

For synthetic ropes that meet rugged surfaces and sharp edges in demanding marine environments — in offshore operations, fisheries and aquaculture.
